Job Description
Experienced and Detail-oriented Geologist to support the exploration team in data processing, technical documentation, and field operations; conducting specialized GIS analyses and preparing technical reports; and collaborating closely with field teams to advance exploration projects.
Responsibilities:
• Mapping: Assisting in the preparation, revision, and updating of geological, alteration, mineralization, and geochemical maps.
• Data Management: Entering, organizing, and performing quality control on field data.
• Reporting: Preparing tables, periodic reports, and project technical documentation.
• GIS: Drafting and editing maps and information layers within the GIS environment.
• Remote Sensing: Assisting in satellite imagery processing and remote sensing studies.
• Laboratory Data: Entering and validating laboratory analysis results; creating related charts and correlation tables.
• Exploration Studies: Collaborating in mineral potential studies.
• Team Support: Assisting senior geologists and field teams in preparing data and project documentation.
Specialized Skill:
• Proficiency in ArcGIS/ArcMap.
• Familiarity with Global Mapper.
• Familiarity with ENVI and related remote sensing software.
• Competency in MS Office (specifically Word and Excel).
• Solid knowledge of map reading and geological map production.
• Knowledge of prospecting and mineral exploration principles.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Bonus: Knowledge of ore deposits and mineralization systems.
