Job Opportunity: Financial Supervisor/team lead
Location: Tehran – Yousef Abad
Employment Type: Full-time
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Supervisor/ Team lead to handle our growing financial operations for international projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining full compliance with local tax laws and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or other relevant fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Full command of Iranian accounting principles and standards (familiarity with international standards such as IFRS is a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed financial reports
• Familiarity with Iranian tax regulations, particularly VAT and seasonal reporting obligations
• Experience in supervising the recording of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, expenses, and both domestic and international operations; solid understanding of internal controls
• Working knowledge of English for reading and writing financial documents (higher proficiency is considered a strong advantage)
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills; ability to collaborate effectively with the finance team and external advisors
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team; assign tasks, oversee monthly closings, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records
• Oversee and review financial transactions, including petty cash, purchases and sales of goods and services, operating expenses, and foreign exchange transactions; ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on VAT declarations, seasonal purchase/sales reports, and other required tax filings
• Generate analytical and managerial financial reports for the Finance Department and senior management; provide strategic insights
• Collaborate effectively with accounting teams and interact with financial advisors and consultants
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all entries with internal and external accounting policies and regulations; maintain effective internal controls
• Participate in audit processes and provide necessary documentation; act as a primary contact for auditors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics; contribute to process improvements
• Ensure compliance with cross-departmental processes and provide training to staff as needed
