Job Description

We are in search of an employee who is able to provide reliable and safe driving services for MUFG Tehran Representative Office’s staff – for the chief representative in particular-, and undertake administrative tasks. Within delegated authority, the driver clerk will take care of the tasks assigned to him, under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, ensuring the highest standards of discretion and integrity, a sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. The driver has a client-oriented approach, a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact, and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Apart from owning a clean driver’s license, which is the basic requirement for this job position, the candidate should be able to perform efficiently with regard to skills such as basic technical and mechanical knowledge, ability to drive both manual and automatic cars, not to mention exhibiting professionalism, eagerness for teamwork, interest in communication, and accountability on which it will be further elaborated below.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To carry out driving assignments safely of authorized personnel and for the transport of documents.
  • To use discretion, initiative, and judgment in planning and scheduling routes.
  • To make deliveries of parcels, documents, etc., between the office and other offices and institutions, e.g. ministries, embassies, Banks, Tax Office, Social Security Organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, etc.
  • To make minor purchases and collect urgent purchases from local suppliers as requested. Collect documents from outsources & suppliers by observing the laws related to confidentiality.
  • To carry out customs affairs if necessary
  • To carry out all administrative matters related to the purchase and sale of vehicles, if necessary
  • To provide administrative support, assisting in payment to vendors and individual contractors for services.
  • To meet official personnel at the airport.
  • To deal effectively and tactfully with officials and visitors.
  • To take care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean.
  • To log fuel consumption, maintenance, etc.
  • To ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of an accident.
  • To apply good judgment in the context of assignments given.
  • To perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Having a high school diploma, and three (3) years of work experience combining driver and administrative clerk duties.
  • Owning his own personal car to be used for commuting to and from his workplace.
  • Having a valid and clean driving license.
  • No criminal record.
  • Nonsmoker and clean addiction test.
  • Having a thorough knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
  • Having sufficient knowledge of the area and the current condition of roads and highways.
  • Demonstrating the enthusiasm to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
  • Taking ownership of all responsibilities and honoring commitments.
  • Exhibiting good judgment and trustworthiness in the context of assignments given.
  • Demonstrating openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.
