Roles & Responsibilities
•To support DC Manager in Data Center architecture and technical planning by providing operational inputs, maintaining plans, following up on action items, and coordinating relevant technical meetings.
•To execute the operation and maintenance of DC infrastructure and services, including facilities, operating systems, databases, and related technical support infrastructure, to ensure stable and continuous service.
•To operate and support IT Infrastructure projects and new Data Center installations, changes, expansions, and migrations, ensuring alignment with approved technical designs, standards, and operational requirements.
•To support DC manager to remain fully aligned with the core DC operation and strategies under the supervision of Datacenter and Infrastructure Operation Management by managing vendors, troubleshooting, on-call support, incident handling, etc.
•To provide management, operations, and ad hoc reports according to manager needs per DC Services, Facilities, performance, etc.
•To monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors related to Data Centre Services.
•To coordinate with ITS teams, Network/IP teams, business units, and outsourcing partners to address infrastructure requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure end-to-end service stability and capacity.
•To follow MTNIrancell policies, processes, and procedures such as cabling policy, Facilities, and NWG requirements in all activities and DC operations, including new installations, changes, expansion, etc.
•To support the DC manager in implementing strategies and ensuring the technical direction of the Data Centre to gain and support competitive advantage for MTNIrancell through the Data Centre infrastructure.
•To ensure the maintenance of information systems and technical support infrastructure for the business.
•To liaise with different ITS teams, business units, and outsourcing partners in the assigned region to fulfill business requirements in Infrastructure.
•To operate post-implementation review of live systems where Infrastructure plays a role in ensuring proper operation of services.
•To supervise different outsourcing partners and play the role of a mediator to resolve conflicts among them.
Education
•Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related
Experience
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure operations area; with experience in supervising/managing others
•Experience working in a medium to large organization
•Experience in:
o Systems administration & coordination
o Information technology and infrastructure architecture
o Project management
