
Job Description
Prepare, review and comment on contracts of different nature, and negotiate with clients and or suppliers and subcontractors The main activities include: • Review and make proper comments on the contractual documents at tender stage, to reduce the costs and risks involved • Review and make comments on the draft of the contracts issued by third parties (clients), and take part in contract negotiations in order to have the comments incorporated into the contracts • Prepare contract drafts for suppliers, and attend the commercial and contractual negotiations. • Take part in different meetings related to the contracts, and be prepared to draft amendments or respond to the needs of the parties helping the project team to manage their contracts efficiently • Monitor contracts constantly as required, comment on any deviation, and take the necessary measure • Help resolve disputes giving professional advice to both sides as a solution provider • Assist other people in the department as maybe required to maintain a friendly and efficient work environment • Determine the priorities and objectives for the tasks assigned • Develop and prepare regular reports on the latest status of contracts • Fully understand and manage Global Contract Management framework and assist with the implementation & rollout of appropriate processes, tools and procedures within the region
Requirements
• University education in a proper field or an engineer • Minimum 2 years of related experience • Very good command of English (speaking and writing) • Effective team member • Energetic and aggressive with good public relations • Good computer skills and efficiency in Microsoft Office • Minimum acquaintance with FIDIC and other forms of contract • General acquaintance with UCP and L/C • Reasonable performance under extensive pressure
