CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO)


ROLE MISSION:
-- We are looking for an experienced, transformation-driven, and commercially minded Chief Information Officer to define and execute the company’s technology strategy, build and develop the IT organization, and lead the technology dimension of strategic initiatives and digital products.

The successful candidate will combine strong expertise in enterprise technology and infrastructure with proven experience in ERP implementation, e-commerce, AI-enabled solutions, team building, and the delivery of complex technology projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and execute the company’s IT and digital transformation strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.

• Develop the organization’s technology roadmap and prioritize IT projects and investments based on business impact and strategic value.

• Design the IT organizational structure, define roles and responsibilities, and recruit and develop specialized technology talent.

• Build and lead high-performing teams across infrastructure, software, data, cybersecurity, IT support, product, and project management.

• Lead the selection, implementation, development, and continuous improvement of ERP systems.

• Ensure effective integration of the ERP platform with other core business systems.

• Manage ERP implementation activities including vendor selection, requirements analysis, data migration, testing, user training, and go-live.

• Lead change-management initiatives and drive successful adoption of new technologies and systems across the organization.

• Lead technology projects and digital products from discovery and design through development, launch, and scale.

• Contribute to the technical architecture and operating model of e-commerce and marketplace platforms.

• Partner with Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technology solutions.

• Develop project and product roadmaps, define implementation phases, manage backlogs, and establish clear milestones.

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.

• Define MVPs, plan product releases, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Identify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence across business processes, management decision-making, sales, marketing, customer service, and operations.

• Design and implement practical AI solutions, including process automation, predictive analytics, intelligent search, recommendation engines, and enterprise AI assistants.

• Develop the organization’s data infrastructure, business intelligence capabilities, and management dashboards.

• Collaborate with Finance to develop reliable data, systems, and reporting capabilities supporting FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

• Assess the commercial value of technology initiatives and manage the IT budget and overall technology cost structure.

• Design an integrated, scalable, and secure architecture for applications, systems, APIs, data, and services.

• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud environments, enterprise applications, and IT support services.

• Establish and enforce policies related to information security, access management, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

• Select and manage technology vendors, software providers, consultants, and outsourced development partners.

• Define KPIs and SLAs for the technology function and provide regular performance reports to senior management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 10 years of professional experience in information technology, enterprise systems, or digital products.

• At least four years of senior leadership experience managing technology teams and complex technology projects.

• Proven experience in building, scaling, or redesigning an IT organization and recruiting specialized technology teams.

• Demonstrable experience in the selection, implementation, or major development of an ERP system.

• Previous experience in an e-commerce business; marketplace experience is a strong advantage.

• Proven delivery of at least one AI-enabled initiative with measurable business impact.

• Strong knowledge of project and product management, roadmap development, backlog management, and phased delivery.

• Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, systems integration, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with information security, data governance, technology risk, and business continuity.

• Working knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, profit and loss, cash flow, and unit economics.

• Ability to evaluate and prioritize technology initiatives based on business value, strategic importance, and return on investment.

• Strong experience managing external vendors and controlling project quality, costs, and delivery timelines.

• Strong English proficiency for reviewing technical resources, negotiating with international vendors, and professional business communication.

• Experience launching or scaling a multi-vendor marketplace.

• Experience in large retail, manufacturing, or distribution organizations.

• Experience integrating ERP with e-commerce, CRM, warehouse, logistics, finance, and business intelligence systems.

• Experience with product catalog, order management, payment, and vendor settlement systems.

• Experience working with Agile methodologies and modern product and project management tools.

• Relevant professional certifications in project management, enterprise architecture, information security, or cloud technologies.
