Hiring: Senior Backend Engineer (NestJS) | VOD Platform
SeeOne Media Holding is developing a professional VOD platform with a focus on streaming, video delivery, and scalable architecture. To develop and evolve the product's backend infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer proficient in NestJS—someone capable not only of coding but also of making architectural decisions, designing high-load systems, and building reliable infrastructure for an enterprise-grade product.
This role goes beyond mere API development; we expect the successful candidate to play a direct and impactful role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, scalable, and distributed systems. Job Responsibilities
Designing and developing backend architecture for an enterprise-scale VOD platform
Designing and developing backend services using NestJS and TypeScript
Designing maintainable, scalable, and high-performance structures
Designing and implementing robust, secure, and extensible REST APIs
Designing and developing systems based on CQRS architecture
Designing and developing microservices architecture
Implementing event-driven architecture
Designing and implementing queue-based processing
Designing and developing high-load systems and optimizing performance
Designing enterprise-level authentication and authorization
Implementing and managing JWT-based security mechanisms
Designing and managing the data layer using MongoDB, SQL databases, and Prisma ORM
Utilizing Redis for caching, sessions, queues, or other performance-critical scenarios
Contributing to the design of streaming architecture and video delivery
Designing solutions for CDN integration
Contributing to the development of billing, subscription, and user access systems
Collaborating on video metadata processing and management
Designing and developing infrastructure suitable for white-label SaaS products
Contributing to service deployment and execution in container-based environments
Collaborating with the DevOps team on deployment, logging, monitoring, and observability
Identifying bottlenecks, architectural flaws, and performance weaknesses, and proposing sustainable solutions
Conducting code reviews and helping elevate the team's technical standards
Collaborating closely with Frontend, Mobile, DevOps, and Product teams
Taking technical ownership of services and responsibility for quality, reliability, and final output
Requirements
At least 10 years of professional backend development experience
At least 5 years of hands-on, production-level experience with NestJS
Full professional mastery of NestJS
Full mastery of TypeScript
Proficiency in MongoDB
Full mastery of SQL databases
Professional mastery of Prisma ORM
Proficiency in Redis
Full mastery of REST API design and development
Full mastery of CQRS Architecture
Proficiency in Authentication and Authorization
Professional mastery of JWT
Practical experience in designing and developing high-load systems
Professional experience in designing and implementing microservices
Experience implementing queue-based processing
Practical experience with event-driven architecture
Full mastery of Git and team development workflows
Ability to design maintainable and scalable architectures for enterprise products
Ability to analyze technical trade-offs and make senior-level decisions
Deep understanding of performance, reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability
Problem-solving skills for complex, production-level scenarios
Ability to take technical ownership of a feature or service from design through deployment to maintenance
