Siraf is a mega methanol project that is planned to produce 5000 tons of methanol grade AA per day. This project started at 2011 and is expected to produce methanol at 2022. This plant with an area of 55 hectares is located in Dayyer Port. Methanol can be used in production of acetic acid, resins, formaldehyde, anti-freeze, adhesives, diesel fuel, different plastics and in downstream industries like MTP and MTO to produce light olefins. Siraf has already made the Cumulative Progress of 43 % with National Development Fund of Iran. The Natural gas feed will be supplied by Iran Gas Trunk line (IGAT) and Oxygen and other utilities shall be provided by Siraf petrochemical.
