Khorasan Electric Industrial Company was established in 1966, in an area of 40,000 square meters, and operation started in 1967. At present, the company is running with over 400 work forces, and an annual capacity of 20,000 tons of cable and wire. Production covers a wide range of low voltage wire and cables, including power cables (with PVC and XLPE insulation), control cables, armored cables, concentric cables, vehicle wires, building wires, coaxial cables, fire resisting cables, low smoke halogen free cables and overhead hard drawn bare copper wires. The company is authorized to use logo of Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI), which is similar to IEC 227 standards. Khorasan Electric Industrial Company was awarded the title of the best producer of wire and cable in Khorasan, Due to the utilization of up to date technology and machinery, which up-grade the quality of products. The company has also received the license for research and development from the ministry of industry in 1992. This company was received ISO9002 certificate in 2000 from SGS Company.
