In the year 2002, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government planned to build a 2200 Km Pipeline (West Ethylene Pipeline) to transfer ethylene gas from Assaluyeh to Mahabad to provide necessary feedstock for the petrochemical products which are to be in operation alongside the said pipeline. This venture aims to promote the economical growth, job creation and technical enhancement in the less developed areas and provinces adjacent to the route of pipeline.
