Job Description

To Manage the day to day operations within the logistics Center or supporting facility, as required from time to time to ensure best business practice with regards to the activity of receiving, checking, storage, picking, packing, stock control activities, bundling within the set parameters of the logistics & supply chain process, inclusive of customs affairs. To ensure that all health, safety and environmental policies are adhered to, inclusive that security services and expectations is operative and in place at all times. Ensure that the key supervisory responsibilities is carried out in a timely, reliable and cost effective manner and utilize all resources optimally and to their full potential and build positive relationships with internal & external clients and 3pl parties. Key Tasks - Organize and direct operations work flow and job responsibilities within the logistics facility to ensure effective and quality management of the receipt, storage, picking, packing, loading, distribution and shipping of products to customers in best reduced lead time and quality being key throughout the process and maximize staff output and utilization. - Maintain correct and accurate records of inventory and location storage quantities and cost control to ensure alignment is maintained and kept consistent within the day to day warehouse and distribution activities. - Conduct and manage weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain stock integrity and through this, ensure that financial stock takes and stock counts are conducted according to client and contractual requirements and agreement. This would ensure that stock integrity is maintained in line with the various WMS in place, per customer. -Co-ordinate with internal customs department to ensure custom clearance procedures are compiled and legal requirements are met accordingly to customs law. - Develop good relationships with customer to ensure high customer service level is maintained at all times and ensure that processes & procedures are followed and adhered to in that clients expectations are met and exceeded. - Manage and report accurate information as required and participate in MBRs - (Monthly Business reviews) with logistics customers and provide valuable input for QBRs. - Compiling statistics and performance reports, KPIs, analyses non-conformities, and initiates and implements corrective actions/improvement plans. - Optimum use of resources available to target and maintain customer established KPIs at high level and ensure in line and consistent with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). - Pro-active preparation and implementation of continuous improvement plans and initiates innovative solutions to increase productivity and quality of service to customers. - Manage and troubleshoot problems with WMS to ensure the operations in the logistics centers flow continuously to maintain consistency to ensure systems stability and functionality at all times. - Ensure that Security QHSE) policies and procedures is functional and any deviations to be actioned and reported immediately to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution center remains of a high standard. -Ensure that Staff Performance Appraisals are duly conducted, completed and reported for all the staff reporting into you by the time-frames specified by the Company. - Develop & drive competence and motivation of staff in all respects. - Ensure a high standard of housekeeping at all times by subcontractor and staff itself, with inspections conducted at least twice a day. - Playing an active role in initiating, executing and follow up on projects initiated in the Logistics Strategy as and when needed. - Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment to be in good working order and daily MHE check lists is maintained and signed on a daily basis. - Ensures that all staff report to work in issued PPE clothing without fail. - Constantly & strategically look at procedures & operations in order to improve and maximize customer satisfaction through cooperation with other departments and third party transporters. - Manage staff time and attendance, inclusive of overtime worked with tight disciplines in place. - Optimize individual employee performance through effective leadership, coaching, development & training, motivating staff and creating opportunities for future growth. - Promotes a good working atmosphere within the team and continuously focuses on improvements. - Supervise the Load and unload trucks delivering and/or picking up cargo and ensure vehicles or containers are in good condition and of high standard. - Ensures optimal supplier including sub-contractor (trucking) selection with regards to price/quality by vendor rating. Maintains relationships with these vendors and pushes them to continuous improvements within a partnership. - Ensures the Logistics facility is maintained at high level and be seen as a showcase at which customers / visitors can be received and inspect at any time. - The Facility in the form of: the performance of maintenance, both repairs and preventative maintenance, laws and regulations, company standards and maintaining the correct annual contracts with vendors. - Ensure that the warehouse is secure and that all MHE equipment stowed in their correct areas or in battery charge room before leaving the warehouse at COB each day.

Requirements

- Experienced at least 5 years in warehousing specially supervising and management + - Familiar with products with expiry date - Ability to handle around 200 SKUs variety. - University Degree: Industrial Engineering/Management - Good knowledge of English (Writing and Speaking) - Time management (monitoring performance against deadlines and milestones) - Act as a Role Model for Corporate Values and fully adhere to the Code of Conduct. - Ability for systematic and rational analysis to identify the root cause of problems. - High commitment and positive attitude in the face of setbacks and obstacles.
