Job Description
- Establish and maintain internal control guidelines - Perform regular control assessments - Keep finance staff appropriately trained on control and compliance matters - Be custodian of the group authority matrix - Ensure trade compliance - Establishing and maintaining internal control procedures - Performing quarterly internal control reviews and reporting the results to management - Performing regular spot checks to identify areas of control weaknesses - Establishing and maintaining a group-wide authority matrix - Providing training on financial internal controls and trade compliance - Establishing trade compliance guidelines - Implementing and maintaining a control dashboard for each business unit - General accounting - Account reconciliations - Treasury operations - Trade finance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or in a relevant field. - Fluency in English is a must. - Accountancy qualification (CPA, ACCA or CA) - Accountancy or internal auditor qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or CIA) - Minimum 5 years of finance, accounting or audit experience - Minimum 2 years of internal audit experience - No travel restrictions - MBA is an advantage - Experience in trading and / or shipping - Experience in global trade sanctions - Excellent leadership skills - Excellent understanding of control environment factors - Good understanding of IFRS - Ability to lead without authority - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Experience with preparing training material and conducting training sessions - Company orientation - Trade sanctions training - Fraud prevention training
