Job Description

Objective:-The budget accountant position is accountable for preparing the annual budget, comparing it to actual results, and reporting on variances from the budget. - Main responsibilities: Inform department managers of due dates for the submission of budget information; - Act as an adviser to department managers in formulating their budget submissions; - Review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness; - Propose enhancements to the budget model; - Compare actual to budgeted results at the end of each reporting period, and report on significant variances; - Reporting to: Budget and Reporting Supervisor

Requirements

- University qualifications: BA in Accounting - Previous experience: Minimum 3 year as accountant Maximum 8 years as accountant - Specialist knowledge: Budgeting principles; - Accounting principles Other Skills: - Continuous learning - Hard working - Negotiating - Interpersonal skills - Ideal Age Range: 25-35. - Gender Preference: Male
