Job Description

  • Operate and check all assigned equipment during the shift, including monitoring operation conditions of such equipment and reporting any problem to operation supervisors.
  • CTEP equipment includes all process control & safety shutdown systems, chemical injection skids, local flare systems, flow lines, and all related auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor safe work permits; ensure proper process and equipment isolation.
  • Carry out process ESD functional testing and ESD valve leak testing.
  • Carry out routine sampling.
  • Monitor chemical injection rates and make adjustments as required.
  • Ensure chemical supplies are adequate and order tanks to be refilled as necessary.
  • Launch and receive pigs through the flow lines if required.
  • Maintain an accurate daily operations log, including recording all checks and operation problems that occurred and the corrective work carried out.
  • Complete daily production reports and report to the operations supervisor.
  • Carry out other similar or related duties when required, assisting other operators in carrying out their duties, monitoring pump operations, maintaining lubricant stock informing the supervisor when stocks reach replenishment levels, etc.
  • Pipeline route and ROW surveillance and leak check.
  • Routine safety and emergency response equipment check.
  • Contribute to emergency drills and exercises to improve the team competency in various cases of crude oil treatment Trains.
  • Monitor separator pressures closely during the shift and check for any abnormality.
  • Check for process pumps operability and check their sealing systems for any over-pressurization and leakages.
  • Check for reboiler liquid levels to be in the normal range.
  • Monitor air coolers function closely.
  • Check for any abnormal situation with PSVs.
  • Check for any instrument malfunction.
  • Check for any instrument air leakages from ESDV actuators.
  • Check and operate any necessary operation on metering and proving system.
  • Monitor pig launchers and receiver facilities.
  • Gas Treatment and Transmission.
  • Check for PSV condition throughout the gas trains.
  • Check for condensate transferring pump operations.
  • Check the pump sealing system for any leakage or over-pressurization.
  • Check for TEG circulation parameters.
  • Check for air cooler functionality and detect any abnormal conditions.
  • Check for any instrument air leakages from ESDV actuators.
  • Check for any instrument malfunction.
  • Check for any abnormal noise of the surge of compressors.
  • Check the condition of preserved equipment.
  • Monitor and operate produced water treatment facilities.
  • Conduct water sampling from PWT vessels.
  • Monitor and check nitrogen generators and instrument air package operation parameters.
  • Check and monitor the firewater system and its related pumps' condition.
  • Check for any instrument air leakages from ESDV actuators.
  • Check for any instrument malfunction.
  • Check and monitor the furnace burner system.
  • Perform operational GTG PMR according to manufacture procedures and instructions.
  • Preserve the GTG standby units to ensure their functionality.
  • Prepare and check all safety and operation requirements for the GTG units. start-up and perform the unit’s start-up and shut-down safely and timely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Process (Chemical), or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Valid safety training with H2S certificate.
  • AGT (Authorized Gas testing) Level 1,2 3.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in production operation in the oil and gas industry.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experienced in a supervisory level and team leadership.
