Job Description

  • Work with Linux/windows platforms.
  • Work 24/7 and participating in on-call rotation.
  • Update the database security protocols.
  • Perform SQL tuning.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle RAC/Data Guard.
  • Perform and maintain RMAN backups and restore.
  • Configure and maintain SqlServer replication/mirroring/always on database.
  • Perform and maintain MS SqlServer backups and restore
  • Maintain and develop all Linux and Windows infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Engineer systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
  • Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments.
  • Fault finding, analysis, and logging information for reporting performance exceptions.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity planning
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software installation, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers.
  • Create and modify scripts to perform tasks.
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • Install and maintain the Oracle/SQL Server/Mongo database software.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience in Oracle Database; more than 1 year of experience in MS SQL Server Database.
  • Familiar with Mongo Database.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC.
  • Expertise in installing, administering, and managing Oracle/MS SqlServer Databases.
  • Expertise in database performance tuning.
  • Expertise in Shell and SQL scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/windows platform.
  • Familiar with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and backup solutions.
  • Previous working experience as a System Administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Familiar with Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Gitlab, and Docker.
  • Extensive expertise in IIS, and AD.
  • Extensive expertise in Zabbix, Apache Tomcat, and HTTPD.
  • Expert in Bash, Python, and PowerShell scripting for monitoring and automation.
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Additional certifications (LPIC, MCSA) will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
