Firouzeh Asia Brokerage is a subsidiary of Turquoise Partners Group. It is a leading stock brokerage firm, offering a wide range of services to domestic and international clients, within the Iranian capital market. Turquoise Partners Group has been a leader in attracting foreign investors into Iran’s stock market for over a decade and has developed extensive network around the world, particularly in Europe and Asia. The group has gone through tremendous growth and now consists of a leading investment company (IDIC), a stock brokerage firm (Firouzeh Asia) and an international asset management operation. In light of the opening of the Iranian capital market to foreign investment and the sharp growth in international business base of Firouzeh Asia, the company endeavors to expand its Finance department and is looking for a highly motivated, experienced accounting professional to join its team as a senior accountant. The ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of accounting, tax, SSO and other finance-related laws, principles and practices in Iran. Additionally, he/she should be a strong team player and able to deliver challenging objectives within tight deadlines. As there is growing business from international customers, good knowledge of English language would be considered a benefit. Experience and/or knowledge of stock market and brokerage would be considered an advantage, but not essential. However, you must prove your enthusiasm and interest in working in for a fast-moving financial services firm. Summary of the key responsibilities of the position are as outlined below: - Treasury Function: this is a time sensitive daily task and monitoring cash position in a timely manner is required. Preparation and planning for cash movements and clearing and settlement of the daily positions is an essential part of the role. - Financial Accounting: these include various accounting transactions, reconciliations, documentation, tax and SSO treatment and documents and mid-year and year-end financial reporting. Please note, FABC is audited and you are expected to play a significant role in the financial and tax audit processes. - Regulatory Reporting: preparation and/or supervision of periodic regulatory reporting to the market regulator (SEO). In cases of non-compliance, report to the superior and propose appropriate actions. - Management Reporting: timely preparation and submission of management reports, as and when needed.
Requirements
- A degree from a reputable Iranian or international university, preferably in accounting/finance/economics - At least 3 years relevant experience in a in the field of accounting/finance/investment. Experience in brokerage and multi-national companies would be highly valuable. - Knowledge of Iran’s capital and financial markets would be an advantage, although not essential. Experience in global financial markets would be highly valued. - Fluency in English is not essential initially, but would be of paramount importance for future career progression - Your interpersonal and soft skills would be examined in detail throughout our recruitment process
