- Represent the organization to stakeholders, interested parties, and the public.
- Serve as the company spokesperson to the media and the general public.
- develop and distribute materials that may explain or convey the company's policies or position on issues
- Oversee and produce content for the website, social media, and print
- Develop an integrated communications strategy for the company incorporating PR, Marketing and Online.
- Develop relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline.
- Create strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity
- Communicate with the media and other interested parties to announce new products and - discuss organizational changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the company.
- Correspond with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments
Requirements
- Previous experience as a communications manager for a similar organization would be a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in website content management systems; social media, Microsoft Office
- A proven ability to lead communications strategies in other organizations
- Experienced working in a start-up is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in start-ups industry
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Superior project management and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Good working knowledge of English – fluency is a plus
