
Job Description
The production manager will be responsible for an effective and smooth operation of factory production lines. He will oversee the daily management and coordination of factory operations which includes : Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Safety and Logistics. This person will have excellent problem solving skills and use the latest techniques in order to face possible challenges. He will encourage and train the relevant staff to do the same. His other responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Optimization of manpower utilization within existing departments and processes • Keeping abreast of latest production management concepts • Review plans and lead research and technical staff to develop processes for new products • Provide ongoing reports and latest production status to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors • Review plans and confer with research or support staff to develop new products or processes. • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. • Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts. • Improving efficiency and decreasing costs; • Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule; • Ensuring that the production is cost effective; • Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality; • Estimating costs and setting the quality standards; • Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment; • Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes; • Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals; • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed; • Supervising and motivating a team of workers; • Reviewing worker performance; • Identifying training needs.
Requirements
University qualifications: Mechanical Engineering/ Metallurgy Engineering Previous experience: At least 5 years of experience in managerial and production platforms Other skills: Leadership capabilities Confidential and reliable Good communication skills Able to multi-task and high work-load and a tight-time schedule Ability to recall large amounts of data Organized, analytical, able to demonstrate consistent attention to details. Good problem- solving abilities. Good command in English
