Design and recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
• Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and costumers.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
• Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
Requirements
Good knowledge of operations research (OR) and logistics) linear programming)
• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Planning or Industrial Engineering or a related field
• five years technical experience and three years of supervisory or lead experience directly related to professional transportation planning
• Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments
• Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematics techniques in practical situations
• Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
