Job Description

Responsible for the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance at all Oghab facilities. This will include the assessment and implementation of absent programs and the continued oversight and administration of existing HSE programs. This position will interface with all departments to ensure existing processes and special projects are in compliance with all National and international regulations. The HSE Manager implements and maintains an environmental health and safety program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: ● Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace. ● Advising employees on how to minimize or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace. ● Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation. ● Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor, and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace. ● Being responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (for example, monitoring noise levels in a warehouse). ● Assisting with the creation and management of health and safety monitoring systems and policies in the workplace. ● Managing emergency procedures (such as fire alarm drills) and organizing emergency teams such as fire marshals and first aiders. ● Offering general health and safety advice to all employees supervising the activities in the HSE field based on the standards of the food industries. ● Supervising waste management, wastage, and disposal of industrial and non-industrial waste and environmental pollution control. ● Supervising the assessment of detrimental factors in the work environment (chemical, biological, ergonomics, light, sound, etc.). ● Providing corrective actions to improve the operational processes in the HSE field. ● Supervising the good performance of industrial medicine processes (at the beginning of recruiting, periodical, etc.). ● Supervising the health of personnel according to relevant standards.

Requirements

● Good knowledge of local HSE law and legal processes. ● Detailed oriented, organized, multi-tasker, and able to work independently. ● Strong people management experience. ● Excellent motivational and communication skills with an ability to inspire and lead others. ● Ability to manage contractors based on HSE requirements.
