
Job Description
At Idea Mode the finance manager is not only a treasurer but also is considered as a supporter of the management team in a variety of operational decisions. Such as, the finance manager should manage funds in such a manner as to maximize return on investment while minimizing risk. This might involve advising on investments, savings, pensions or insurance products. Further, the finance manager engages in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance. - Responsible for routine accounting activities. - Keep records of financial transaction and support documents. - Provides analytical support to the Head of Retail and continually improves our financial systems and data. - Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements. - Plan, modify, develop and implement the record keeping and accounting system. - Identifies and delivers financial training to support the retail team. - Manage and handle all the activities and reports regarding the payments, taxes, bank accounts, salaries, insurances, social security and etc. - Analyze costs, profits, financial commitments and obligations. - Identifies risks and opportunity areas to the forecasts. - Develop the skills of the finance team members through training and coaching. - Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting or collection procedures, or investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, or other financial control functions. - Establish procedures for custody or control of assets, records, loan collateral, or securities to ensure safekeeping. - Issues detailed P&Ls to the retail team, highlighting poor performance and opportunities - Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements. - Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Typical office hours will be Saturday-Wednesday, 8:30am-5pm and Thursday 8:30 am-1pm.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance. - At least 5 years managerial experience. - Must be an effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across multiple levels in the organization. - Excellent knowledge and understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles. - Familiar with sales accounting. - Excellent Supervisory skills Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills. - Strong organization and decision-making skills - Team player with strong commercial acumen. - Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
