  • Studying the market in the target country or countries.
  • Identifying new markets for exports and developing new business accounts.
  • Planning a sales campaign tailored to that country and current consumer trends.
  • Negotiating and meeting with clients here or abroad.
  • Negotiating sales terms and achieving sales targets.
  • Organizing licenses and other legal requirements for products.
  • Troubleshooting to fix any export problems.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of international contract terms, foreign currencies, tariffs and trading regulations.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • English skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
