Job Description

We are developing an innovative, professional product in the Guitar Audio & Digital Effects industry and are seeking an experienced specialist to lead the technical aspects of the hardware development.

Our goal is to create a world-class product. Therefore, we are looking for someone who not only has strong technical expertise but also extensive experience in electronic product development and managing the complete hardware design and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:
- Manage technical communication with the manufacturing factory and design teams.
- Translate product requirements into detailed Technical Specifications.
- Review and approve hardware designs provided by the factory, including:
- Electronic schematics
- PCB layouts
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Mechanical design (housing/enclosure)
- Lead Design Review meetings and provide technical feedback.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Manage the prototyping, testing, validation, and design iteration process.
- Manage Engineering Change (EC/ECO) activities.
- Coordinate development between Hardware, Firmware, DSP, and Mechanical teams.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project.
- Ensure the product is technically ready for mass production.

Requirements
- Technical Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic hardware development or hardware project management.
- Hands-on experience in board design, with the ability to thoroughly review, analyze, and approve hardware designs produced by manufacturing partners.
- Experience with housing/enclosure design, or close collaboration with mechanical engineering teams, enabling you to evaluate mechanical designs from the perspectives of engineering quality, manufacturability, assembly, and overall product performance.
- Proven ability to conduct Design Reviews for schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and mechanical designs.
- Strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, from concept through mass production.
- Experience with prototyping, BOM management, DFM, DFA, and manufacturing processes.
- Management & Leadership Skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership and make sound engineering decisions.
- Experience managing communication with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Strong documentation and project tracking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical risk management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers, particularly in China.
- Proven track record of bringing at least one electronic product to mass production.
- Experience developing embedded systems.
- Familiarity with audio electronics or DSP-based products.
- Experience with Altium Designer, KiCad, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Hardware, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering.
