Job Description Overview: The OBIEE Developer will be responsible for design, development and implementation of the OBIEE system and Data Warehouse. Candidates should have experience with Oracle Data warehouse, ETL (ODI preferred), and data modeling. The Developer will support a number of different business teams and must have excellent communication skills. Other responsibilities will include maintenance, administration and performance tuning of the system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical Skills: - Experience with developing reports and dashboards and developing OBIEE Metadata repository for the .rpd model (2+ years/proficient) - Experience with data modeling, including conceptual, logical and physical model design, Star Schema and Snowflake schema design, fact and dimensions tables, and physical and logical data modeling (2+ years/proficient) - Experience on desktop and server side support and development using Data Visualizer (1+ years/proficient)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in the Software industry. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Minimum 2-5 years' experience obtaining a thorough knowledge along with tactical experience of BI/DW environments with 1-2 year of ORACLE or other BI Platforms/Tool experience applicable (e.g. SAP/BOBJ, Microsoft BI, Cognos, Micro Strategy, Tableau, or Qlikview). - PL /SQL experience. - Experience in developing and tuning queries for ad hoc, canned reporting, and dashboard use, with back end system such as SQL server, Oracle, DB2 etc. - Experience with dimensional models, building semantic and application layers in Oracle or similar tool is a plus. - Experience with industry leading ETL tools: Oracle ODI, Informatica, Data Services Integrator, SSIS, other while developing or managing or maintaining a data warehouse. - Working knowledge of and experience with logical and physical database design principles, procedures, data warehousing methodology and architecture is a plus.
