Job Description
We at GEP are expanding our accounting team and looking to hire a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Bookkeeper to handle daily accounting operations and financial record keeping. Key Responsibilities:
- Record all financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare and enter accounting documents (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, revenues).
- Organize and archive financial documents properly.
- Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and internal funds.
- Maintain official ledgers (Journal and General Ledger) in line with Iranian accounting standards.
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Handle VAT, tax returns, and purchase/sales reporting forms.
- Assist during audits and tax inspections when necessary.
- Issue and follow up on client invoices and account balances.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
* Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and Iranian accounting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Hamkaran System, Peyvast).
* Familiarity with tax regulations, insurance rules, VAT, and SSO.
* Strong attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general office tools.
