Design residential buildings from scratch based on architectural drawings and geotechnical reports to develop a detailed package of bespoke residential works, including floor plans, slab design, framing layouts, bracing & footing layouts, drainage plans, and more.
Renovations:
Follow the proposed architectural renovation plan and design the structural components in that regard.
Responsibilities:
Use relevant design software, for example, Structural Toolkit, or SpaceGASS.
Collaborate closely with the headquarters’ residential team daily.
Prepare designs, and drawings using AutoCAD, as per Australian Standards.
Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
Evaluate property reports to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
Work closely with internal departments, design, and production.
Follow up with internal team members about deadlines and deliverables.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, willing-to-learn senior structural engineer with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to join our residential design team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, solution-based, team-oriented engineer who can work closely and collaboratively with other residential engineers located at the head office, in Melbourne. The engineer should be able to manage multi-task and prioritize duties, complete assignments accurately, and demonstrate good communication skills.
The role is suitable for someone who likes to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering.
3 to 8 years of experience as a structural engineer (design section).
Expert in AutoCAD software.
Expert in at least one design software.
Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
