Job Description

• Receives materials, parts, tools, equipment and similar items according to purchase order, contract or material requisition. Includes checking consignment notes, identifying contents of consignment, opening containers physically checking the contents to verify that items are as ordered and that there are no shortages, damages or overages. Delivers to designate storage location in warehouse or directly to the locations as required. Includes entering the data in the computer system and/or make the record in the paper data system. • Issues stocked materials, equipment and parts from the warehouse. Includes receiving requisitions from various departments, checking them for accuracy, collecting material from location in warehouse. Includes entering the data in the computer system and/or make the record in the paper data system. • Keeps storage areas clean and tidy and stored items adequately protected. Includes cleaning shelves, racks, tools, lifting gear etc., on a continuing basis. • Keeps all material, parts, equipment and chemicals in correct designated area in compliance with warehouse policy and procedure. • Loads and unloads stores materials from carrier. Includes physically handling freight packages to trolleys, opening packages for inspection by security as required, delivering to stores area. • Carries out regular physical checks of stored items with stock balances. Informs supervisor of discrepancies. Participates in carrying out periodic inventory audits. • Keeps all material, parts, equipment and chemicals in correct designated area in compliance with warehouse policy and procedure. • Participates with stock audit according to requirement in order to match actual stock with records. Adheres to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management. • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors. • Maintains regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. • Pursues personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

Requirements

- Academy diploma - Knowledge of computer operation and software applications. - 2 years store keeping experience preferably in the oil and gas industries. - Perform daily work related to material receiving, issuing, storage, checking, and so on
