Job Description

● To plan the establishment of the appropriate Radio Access transmission infrastructure for USO sites, in line with the defined transmission topology plan, capabilities of technology and rest of Access Transmission Network and follow the delivery of required transmission capacity, coordinate the various developments in USO network and aligned with Access Transmission Development strategies. Responsibilities: ● To follow interface with providers of leased capacity, fiber, and VSAT for USO network often in adversarial situations and handle supplier relations. ● To interface with regulatory on the allocation of transmission resources and the rules of utilizing dark fiber, VSAT, and required negotiations for USO network cost management. ● To interface with the access transmission department on allocation of resources on available material or assets and existing transmission infrastructure. ● To follow the delivery of physical connectivity according to topology and USO Access Transmission plan in line with characteristics of Access Transmission network as the main infrastructure. ● To follow the process of building additional USO Access capacity for transmission using appropriate technologies (fiber, Microwave, and VSAT) or leased facilities to terminate traffic to the existing access transmission network. ● To develop and establish policies for deployment of equipment in the best and optimum way in line with main access transmission strategies of utilizing allocation of material and resources. ● To develop and update detailed USO Access configuration designs (route sizes, upgrades, etc.) ● To meet network ever-changing requirements. ● To follow the development of equipment configurations that need to be supplied from access transmission orders to suppliers or available inventory. ● To develop and align installation and commissioning procedures for USO Access transmission resources in line with main procedures defined and ensure the quality of implementation of planned resources. ● To conduct research, benchmark, and investigate alternative technologies and provide the management with new USO Access transmission solutions. ● To monitor the performance of MW links, routers, USO fibers, and all layer 2/3 links, nodes and access routers, and multiple turnkey vendors before handover to NW operations. ● To harmonize USO regional developments with the rest of the transmission network aligned with company business requirements.
