Job Description
● Configure and install network switches in communications rooms both on-site.
● Configure and install tape libraries and tape drives in data center rooms on-site.
● Monitor backup systems and perform restores in data center rooms.
● Work with the backup software vendors for issues that require their support.
● Maintain a full register of assets of servers and network equipment.
● Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair network backup problems.
● Support client system administrators in restoring backups.
● Upgrade the Network backup system software.
● Handle all tape generation for Network backups.
● Track the location of all tapes with the logbook.
● Securely dispose of failed tapes.
● Recall tapes from off-site as needed for restoration.
