Job Description

-Manage tax and transfer pricing functional area in Iran -Manage all tax audits, tax disputes, customs/duty investigations and local investments/expansions in cooperation with FLIT Director, Local Tax Advisor and IO tax director -Participate in reporting and documentation of all relevant tax/custom matters, internally within Novo Nordisk, and externally in compliance with Iranian tax/custom regulations and practices (in collaboration with Tax Director) -Ensure that issues are being analyzed and optimized before any relevant business driven decisions are executed in close cooperation with Iran FLIT Director and IO Tax Director -Train relevant affiliate staff to ensure high quality of tax and transfer pricing understanding and reporting to Corporate Tax •Main job tasks: -Manage all relevant tax audits for the affiliate in cooperation with local tax advisor and Finance and FLIT director. This includes ongoing documentation of relevant processes for tax office in areas of Corporate Tax, VAT, WH, and seasonal reporting -Submitting and Filling all relevant Corporate Tax Returns, VAT Tax Returns and other relevant documents in line with local regulations -Manage and drive execution/implementation of transfer pricing setup/projects, including planning, reporting, documentation, tax optimizations and compliance obligations -Ensure purchase prices, sales prices and trade margins in Novo Nordisk Pars are in line with norms of local pharmaceutical and transfer pricing legislation -Provide transfer pricing exercise and support to Finance manager and Corporate Tax Transfer Pricing team -Monitor change to Iranian tax legislation and rules that impact specific tax treatment and use of external tax advice -Manage indirect tax functional area and drive implementation of indirect tax strategy in IRAN -Monitor and control statutory profitability and level of net assets in NN Pars with a focus on local production setup -In alignment with local tax advisor to monitor the rules and regulations on the local manufacturing environment for assessing different tax risk and opportunities and provide suggestions and early heads up to Iran FLIT Director and Corporate Tax -Prepare tax analysis (including risk assessment) prior to business decisions with major financial impact related to Iran and briefing of management of Iran, Corporate Tax and IO Tax Forum -Guide and advise Iran Affiliate in tax matters -Regular monitoring of tax matters in the affiliate and providing relevant training to local team in line with use of external tax advisor -Participate in relevant IO Tax meetings -Participate in relevant business area finance meetings -Participate in relevant peer networks -Various tasks necessary to support tax operations, i.e. calculations, document controls, transactions spot checks, system inputs

Requirements

-Relevant degree in Economy or Finance (e.g. M.Sc. in Accounting, Finance or equivalent) with focus on (international) tax legislation and planning Regularly technical tax updates (e.g. tax seminars etc.) -Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience including transfer pricing -Experience from/with one or more of the following is an advantage: -Previous employment in big 4 accounting firms: •International position •International tax •General taxation •Pharma industry -Must be confident to work in close cooperation with high-level executives (e.g. members of senior management, Board of Directors and external auditors/advisors) -Independent, responsible and conscientious, with high degree of integrity, tenacity and ability to judge -Strong knowledge on local rules and regulations in corporate and tax area -Self-motivated and proactive -IT literate including professional data discipline -Possess overview, methodical and accurate -Able to priorities tasks & be analytical -Flexible, Structured and timely -Project oriented & team player -High degree of sensitivity as to how to communicate with people of different cultural background -Strong English and Farsi verbal and written communication skills
