Job Description

System Administrator’s responsibilities are as below: - Install, configure and support computer hardware and software throughout the company - Monitor and complete system backups in accordance with company data strategies - Install, configure, and support computer virus protection software - Install, configure, and maintain corporate electronic mail and spam filtering systems - Monitor systems performance and maintain high-availability of critical company systems - Test and certify security patches and new software before production deployment - Provide off-hours support as required to maintain the availability of key systems and services - Travel to company locations as needed to support or repair systems - Identify and implement system security for all computing platforms - May entail responsibilities specific to a particular computing platform such as desktops, laptops, and tablets - May entail responsibilities specific to file servers and other hosting systems

Requirements

- At least one year using Microsoft Active Directory - Experience in installing or administering UNIX or Linux systems - Two years of experience configuring and administering VmWare in a high availability environment. - Basic understanding of local and wide-area network concepts, protocols and addressing - Ability to create and maintain system diagrams with Microsoft Visio - Basic understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server - Experience administering various data backup solutions - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Cloud based application administration experience
