Job Description

•Main objective: The Purchasing & Inventory Manager will be responsible for providing and monitoring strategic materials and consumables. The position will require an aptitude to develop expertise within key cost categories/working capital and understand the role these categories play in the company’s overall financial performance. The Purchasing / Inventory Manager will also lead initiatives in Inventory strategic planning. The Purchasing & Inventory Manager completes projects, either as assigned or self-initiated, by working with appropriate departments and individuals to achieve the stated goals. •Main Responsibilities: - Price and delivery negotiations in order to reduce material costs and maintain adequate service to Plant - Select suppliers and assess their capabilities in accordance with our demand - Implement best practices in Inventory and Purchasing management that will result in optimal use of the company’s working capital - Manage and coordinate efforts as related to Production Planning, Logistics and Inventory Management initiatives; Inventory Targets, and Support to Plant Management - Leadership role with respect to purchasing material and inventory levels with the Production department. - Search for alternative sources and Products in conjunction with product development efforts; or asked by the Plant - Actively initiate, lead, and/or mentor Improvement Teams to reduce overall business costs. The Goal is to support LEAN efforts to maintain or reduce costs as sales grow - Contribute to developing, implementing and maintaining Purchasing Work Instructions and Procedures as part of our Quality Systems - Ability to adapt to internal sales, be prepared to work with sister divisions and a national sales/purchasing teams *Notice: Job location is near Imam Khomeini Airport. A comfortable car service is provided.

Requirements

- Over 3 years in managing or holding a position of responsibility related to purchasing, logistics or materials management, with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or plant location - Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills - Strategic thinking and forecasting ability - Customer focus; dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers - Negotiating skills required - Business acumen in manufacturing and distribution operations including inventory and purchasing, sales, marketing, engineering, multi-unit operations, finance, information technology - Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, and listening skills - Basic understanding of accounting principles and statements - Experience with ERP, database user interface and query software knowledge - Experience with system analysis and system evaluation -Demonstrated experience coaching and developing teams and individuals - Strong interpersonal skills; a confident yet grounded leader - ERP system experience is a must - Experience using computer-based purchasing, scheduling, or inventory control systems is required - MRO/MRP purchasing experience is a plus - Experience with purchasing contracts and negotiations are a must - Ideal Age Range: 35 - 45
