Job Description
- Analyze science and other data processing problems to implement or improve computer systems
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
- Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
- Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs
- Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
- Create manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements
- Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning
- Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow
- Build and maintain analytical models, dashboards, reports, and templates to drive awareness and understanding of key performance indicators while ensuring quality, accuracy, and a focused analytic review
- Utilize data analysis skills to perform full lifecycle analytics including gathering requirements, design and development of analytic data sets, data mining, data quality assessment, data profiling, analytical infrastructure maintenance, and predictive analytics support
- Convert business expectations into data analysis while recognizing the audience and effectively
communicating complexities at an executive level
