Job Description

- Providing continuous 24 hours supervision for all the operations at the well site - Check all on site Equipment (e.g. Mills, Fishing Tool, Bits, fishing / drilling jars, drill string…) Well Materials (e.g. casings, liner hangers, wellheads, packers, Completion), and Well Consumables (e.g. mud additives, cement & additives) & ensure that they are stored and handled in an appropriate manner at the well-site - Supervise all pressure tests (e.g. BOP, Casings / tubing, High Pressure lines, Wellheads) as per the drilling program - Implementing safety measures and regularly monitoring them for irregularities - Prepare the loadout list for each well. The list must be sent at least 7 days before expected spud - Checks Material/ Equipment to ensure that equipment is being inventoried properly and the paper work required is prepared accurately - Ensures that all work is done efficiently, safely, and in accordance with Client’s Approved Program and instruction, Drilling Manual, Drilling Policy established company practices and procedures, applicable laws and government rules and regulations - Personally investigates accidents, incidents and equipment failures that occur on wellsite. Supports Contractor Loss Control/HSE Rep - Develops and issues verbal and written instructions to the contractor Toolpusher for desired changes in operations. Monitors the operations to ensure the required changes are performed - Issues instructions to service companies for work required and monitors the operations to ensure compliance - In conjunction with the Drilling Superintendent, plans for the timely arrival of required personnel, materials, equipment and services at the wellsite. Prepares on time / in advance material requisitions for items as required - Personally inspects all tools and wellhead equipment for size and pressure rating on arrival at the rig site. Assures that the proper tools and back-ups, if required, are available on location and ready for use. Ensures that every piece of equipment that enters the hole is measured, pass gauge, OD, ID, F.Neck, ID and that the drill string length is accurately known - Recommends ways to reduce cost and improve safety and minimize operational time - Ensures that the operations are properly documented on the Tour Report and the Daily Drilling Report. Prepares transfer documents, receiving documents, ACTS, BOP Tests, Press. Test Charts, Services Co’s report, Job Tickets , spreadsheet / graphs, casing and cementing reports, Completion tallies, BHAs, Client’s Documents and Permits etc to ensure well records are accurate
