Job Description
Purpose of the position: ● Purchase material and equipment assigned at the best price, according to Danieli's quality standard and according to MR request date. Duties and responsibilities: ● According to items to be purchased, request a quotation to suitable suppliers among Danieli supplier portfolio. ● Scout and propose new potential suppliers which can guarantee benefits to Danieli. ● Compare different quotations and choose the final supplier together with the direct supervisor/manager. ● Negotiate price/terms and conditions according to the target received by the direct supervisor/manager. ● Place orders in the system. ● Updated the expected date in the system. ● Deal with the daily NCR (Non-Conformity report) related to own order. ● Make sure the delivery of the most urgent items is according to planning indications. ● Manage NCR (Non-Conformity report) back charge and delay penalty.
Requirements
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably manufacturing and production). ● Excellent command of English (written and verbal). ● Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. ● Understanding of commercial and contract law. ● Basic ERP system understanding. ● Minimum 5 years of working experience as purchasing engineer in a mechanical company (Preferred). ● Good communication and negotiation skills. ● Flexible with business travel.
