Job Description

● Research and identify building or construction material suppliers based on project requirements. ● Act as a point of contact between the company and building/construction material suppliers. ● Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and building material suppliers. ● Process purchase orders to acquire goods. ● Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings. ● Prepare reports and maintain accurate inventory and procurement records. ● Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company.

Requirements

● At least a Bachelor's degree. ● More than two years of experience working in the purchasing department in the construction/building material field. ● Good information in purchasing construction materials. ● Full familiarity with construction materials (in the framing and joinery phase). ● Good understanding of purchasing and negotiation techniques. ● Excellent communication and negotiation skills. ● Excellent problem-solving skills. ● Familiarity with Excel and Rahkaran. ● Familiarity with commercial affairs. ● Awareness of company purchasing rules and regulations. ● Familiarity with commercial and contracting contracts. ● Full knowledge of the principles of warehousing, purchasing, and remittances.
