Job Description
-Oversees the Mechanical & Package & HVAC design performed by others -Oversees to all types of Static Equipment such as Pressure vessel, Heat Exchanger, API storage Tanks -Facilitates the definition of Mechanical& HVAC scope, goals and deliverables -Checks design of Atmospheric and Low Pressure Storage tanks in accordance with API 650 and API 620 -Checks 3D models and 2D CAD drawings as needed -Checks design documents for quality and accuracy -Provides accurate checking Mechanical & Package & HVAC design per project requirement in accordance with scope and Vendor documentation review -Provides information for inter-discipline coordination -Plans, facilitates, or conducts 3D model design reviews -Ensures the Mechanical & Package & HVAC deliverable verification process, and that all deliverables are issued according to schedule.
Requirements
-BS degree or Plus in Mechanical Engineering -Minimum 7 years’ experience in refinery, midstream or petrochemical industries / Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering Mechanical & HVAC -Knowledge of current Design codes for Mechanical & HVAC systems -Basic understanding of Mechanical & Package layouts and field drawings -Working knowledge of all types of Static Equipment, API 650 and API 620 Atmospheric and Low Pressure Storage tanks -AUTOCAD, 2D, 3D training and experience -Knowledge of Mechanical & Package & HVAC Codes and Standards (ASHRAEI- National Plumbing Code) -Basic understanding of codes of ASME, API & DIN Standards and applications -Team work -Piping Planning -Good communication and interpersonal skills -Adaptability -Ability to delegate tasks and effectively supervise others -Field Engineering experience -Work collaboratively with engineering managers and Owner and Subcontractors -Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities important -Design and construction experience of Mechanical & HVAC systems in plants -Advanced knowledge about Mechanical & Package design/drafting principles and practices -Excellent verbal, written and communication skills -Proficient in the relevant software: Auto-CAD, Carrier and Mechanical works -Strong knowledge of CAD Works Plant Professional -Experience with MS Office products and Adobe PDF Pro -Fluent in English -Ideal Age Range: 34 - 50
