Job Description
• Responsibilities include the designing / developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects, which contribute substantially to plant profitability. • Partner with manufacturing team for process optimization and to debug/repair issues with production molds/extrusion tools. • Develop working instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and ensure they are followed. • Liaise with production planner/scheduler for ensuring the released products have adequate BOM, and EOQ's. • Seeing product development through from design phase to launch. Inclusive of capturing patent disclosures, evaluation of product/design, demonstrating feasibility, and final testing for performance and aesthetics • Develop and implement solutions for future quality improvements and cost reduction. • Contribute to supplier selection process by providing technical leadership and assessments • Partner with external suppliers to ensure component development processes lead to robust manufacturing processes • Work with other relevant departments to determine estimated costs, run time, and cost reduction (Procurement, logistics, warehouse, etc.) • Develop and implement solutions for future quality improvements • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the Venus Glass team to make it more efficient, safer and an enjoyable place to work.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic Engineering or other technical discipline. • Familiarity with CAD based softwares (Solidworks and Catia preferred). • Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques/principles. • Must be very comfortable with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships throughout the organization • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines • Work in a team-based environment to achieve common goals • Maintain top level professional integrity • Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines • Detail oriented • Customer focused • Ability to work independently • Strong quality mindset • Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company • Ideal age: 32-42 • Advanced English skills
