Job Description

-Play a key role in developing and maintaining global crude oil supply and refined products demand models and scenarios -Collecting data and information with regards to market fundamentals and pricing for crude oil -Analyzing macro and micro economic oil data -Provide analysis and interpretation of current and future trends in crude oil market; covering supply/demand balances and price outlook -Provide analysis and interpretation of current and future trends in refining and products market; covering refined oil product markets, supply/demand balances, price and margin forecasts, refinery operations, and product trade -Analyzing and modelling industry trends building forecasts, databases, and evaluations -Writing regular crude supply / petroleum products demand reports via original research -Preparing both internal and external client presentation material and answering client queries

Requirements

-Master’s Degree in engineering, energy economics, business administration or similar discipline -Minimum 5 years of experience in energy industry consulting, investment banking, equity research or equivalent professional experience -Knowledge of oil market analysis, preferably with upstream and refining experience and/or supply/demand forecasting and modelling experience -Ability to undertake independent research and work with a project team -Good writing and oral presentation skills -Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment and deliver work in a timely manner -Able to support business development activities -Innovative & strong problem-solving skills to streamline processes, identify & implement improvements -Strong attention to details -Ability to assess impact of policy issues influencing oil markets -Strong skills at data mining and data visualization with available software programs -Strong analytical skills, ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models -Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships -Willing to work collaboratively in support of the team whilst simultaneously carrying out independent tasks and activities -Able to anticipate team needs and be proactive rather than reactive -Ideal Age Range: 25 - 40 -Fluent (written and verbal) in English
