Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Senior accountant responsibilities include: - Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable - Manages Inter-company accounts & carryout monthly reconciliation with the related parties – - Reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis - Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results - Maintains; reconciles fixed assets schedules & register - Performs day to day banking functions - Responsible in allocation of common cost to various cost centers - Performs general accounting functions & all related month-end tasks - Prepare tax audits and tax returns - Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance - Prepares monthly & quarterly reports (Balance Sheet, Overhead Reports, Working Capital etc.) - Ensures monthly deadlines are met as required - Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule - Manage accounting assistant and bookkeeper - Plan, assign and review staff’s work - Analyze financial information and summarize financial status - Provides cover for other accounting functions as requested - Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending - Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Line Manager - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements

- Proven experience as a senior accountant at least 5 years of related experience - In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail - Awareness of business trends - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process - Familiarity with financial accounting statements - Hands-on experience with accounting software packages - Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables - BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant - Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred - Scheduling skills to perform the given tasks in a timely manner
