Job Description
Responsibilities:
Execute the sales and marketing plan for the company
Look after end-to-end process of finding the right customers, with the right solution for their logistics and warehousing needs, at the right price point. Must understand and negotiate a pricing structure and service-level agreement that will increase the company's capabilities.
Manage operational activities associated with sales and marketing
Act as prime liaison between the client and the company for both new and existing accounts. Understand and interpret client needs and be able to communicate to all stakeholders. Monitor key performance indicators, translate clients- requirements, develop strategies, monitor and predict trends.
Address problems with the customer face to face as well as on the phone or by email.
Perform administrative activities associated with sales and marketing
Perform all account administration associated with the marketing and selling function. This would include responding to requests for quotation and performing appropriate due diligence and background checks of potential clients. Also included would be after-sales administration activities, such as pipeline and key performance indicator reporting.
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the budget and activities associated with sales and marketing.
Develop, implement and evaluate sales and marketing policies, procedures and strategies
Identify opportunities through market research and networking, and develop a marketing approach tailored to meet the needs of the client
Establish key performance indicators for the sales and marketing role and monitor/report
Develop and maintain sales and marketing materials.
Develop pricing strategies and negotiate price and service levels with customers
Lead the initiation and negotiation of contractual agreements with customers to manage product storage and distribution.
Liaise between the company and the client to resolve customer complaints
Prepare budgetary forecasts and monitor as appropriate.
Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
Represent and promote the company at promotional events, such as trade shows and association meetings.
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships, both directly and cross functionally.
Coordinate with the operations to ensure customer satisfaction as well as development of capabilities.
