Job Description

● To manage regional planning, forecasting and managing RAN/UTRAN element additions and expansions. ● To support in HLD preparation for assigned region according to BSS plan and forecast. ● To define and develop the handshaking plan for BTS, NodeB, eNodeB, BSC and RNC with Core elements and suggest re-parenting of these elements based on Core capacity. ● To manage regional BSS/RAN topology preparation and handshaking with Core, IPBB and TX elements. ● To follow up on technical aspect and timelines of project with CPG project managers within the region. ● To manage planning, dimensioning, redesigning and optimizing LAC/RAC/TAC/URA borders and paging load within assigned region. ● To review regional BSC/RNC capacity and design quarterly to set priority or align it with traffic profile changes in the network and follow to modify plan if required. ● To support in high level CS/PS Traffic monitoring and forecasting and prepare monthly and quarterly expansion requirements based on forecast. ● To define and manage multivendor integration process ensuring the BSS/RAN/UTRAN projects are tracked and followed with vendors and subcontractors within the region. ● To manage rehoming in region to optimize border and load on RAN/BSS elements. ● To monitor impact of the changes on Core elements in BSS/RAN side in his region ● To manage monitoring and maintaining the utilization on all the interfaces and H/W resources of the BSCs in his region including but not limited to Abis, A, Gb, HSL, SIGTRAN, GSL, GPH, CPU, TRH, STEB, CP and XPU. ● To manage monitoring and ensure maintaining the utilization on all the interfaces and H/W resources of the region RNCs including but not limited to IuCS / IP, IuPS / IP, Iur, Processor Load, GPB, SPB, EPB, GOU, EGPU, SPU and DPU boards utilization. ● To manage and design new capacity addition and expansions on Iub, IuCS, IuPS, DPU, EPB, SPU and other processing cards and confirm delivered capacity of BSC/ RNC / PCU for SAOC, PAC and FAC in his region ● To manage and audit different RAN features within the region such as QoS, RNC pooling and single RAN node and manage BSC/RNC internal parameter audit on quarterly basis. ●To support core in features that may improve network efficiency such as SGSN pool, MME in pool, paging strategy changes etc. ● To manage new cell CGI creation on Core network according to Radio and LAC/TAC plan and ensure CGIs are defined with correct topology and right LN on Core and junk CGI being deleted according to rehoming or LAC redesign activities. ● To perform monthly review for island LAC/BSC/RNC sites and ensure of effective functionality of these sites. ● To support line manager and RAN technology lead specialist in devise best strategy for LAC/URA/TAC planning in region and whole MTN Irancell. ● To manage integration and effective functionality of CBC interface from BSC/RNC towards third party SW ● To perform weekly meetings with project, optimization vendor and Care/support to follow open issues
