Job Description

• Conduct and supervise the development of new product and updates of existing products (changing of raw material) for the department of sealant adhesives and coating using innovative ideas and materials and test ideas on a lab scale, according to the priorities outlined available planning documents. • Formulating requirements typically encompass all types of sealant adhesives and sealant specific to construction, automotive industry and DIY. • Perform laboratory experiments, measurements, and product characterizations and evaluate results. • Ensure robustness in all phases of new product development and updates of existing products through the use of accepted techniques including DOE, FMEA, SPC and others as required. • Provide technical assistance and support to production, sales and marketing, as required in support of product scale- up, quality control, application testing and other cross-functional activities. • Maintains detailed technical records, as required, in the form of a laboratory notebook or computer databases. • Provides process reports, monthly and quarterly reports, technical plans, project summaries and other internal correspondence in a timely manner to ensure appropriate communication of project status and needs.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, polymers, chemical engineering or another related science from a reputable university a Master degree is preferred. • 3 years of experience in chemical laboratory, preferably in polymers, adhesives and sealant, most preferably in sealant adhesives, coatings and formulation. • Must have excellent English language, computer and time management skill. • Self-motivated and able to work in cross-functional teams • Ideal Age range: 25-35
