Job Description

Mission: • To plan, implement, support and maintain the core GPRS, UMTS and any future MBB data bearer services and technologies. • Support creation, change and deletion of all APNs and check their service and delivery to operations. • To plan and implement PS core corporate customer solutions in line with S&D and EBU. Role Complexity: • Interface with any related entity within the organisation in order to ensure that data services and functionality is implemented timeously and using best practices. Task Complexity: • Capacity management to ensure that core network is ready for future. • Suggest enhancement and support the ancillary networks that surround the core networks, such as Radio and IPBB. • Co-design and implement the auxiliary node infrastructure for PS core network. • Update the traffic model of core network in related areas to provide input for planning. • Plan MBB capacities and network design based on various inputs from statistics and marketing. • Design and implement CloudEdge Solutions such as Cloud EPC, Cloud MSE, and Cloud SCEF • Commissioning, integration, System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and engineering support for PS Core elements. • Completion of all Site Folder Documentation and Test Logs for commissioning, integration and engineering as required. • Interoperability Testing (IOT) and engineering support for vendors as required in related areas. • Providing timely daily status reports of progress and issues to line manager. • Contributing to periodic reports as required by management. • Performance monitoring of Network to make sure that the planned PS services are performing correctly. • Creating catalogs for Data services that MTNIrancell can offer based on mobile broadband for corporate customers • Deliver optimal usage of the existing network elements during cloudification and service oriented core migration
