Job Description

- Create a safe place of work for people and minimize the risk of accidents - Review and assess the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas so that compliance with HSSE policy, guidelines, applicable standards and instructions and government regulations are realized. - Manage and review work site assessments, identifies unsafe acts/conditions or unsafe behaviors, provide guidance and recommendations for corrective action. - Cooperate closely with the facility and project teams to ensure proper HSSE measures are in-place and that enforcement activities are performed when needed. - Provide clear, practical advice and guidance to the site manager on compliance with the management system and current HSE regulations - Understand relevant technical requirements in HSSE align with regulatory requirements, and company policies and identify required safety material for work sites - Improve the quality of the HSSE programs by updating existing or issuing new documents, processes, and policies. - Review and analyze data to Identify potential hazards via periodic scheduled HSSE audits and Provide recommendations for process improvements - Investigate, develop root causes, provide reports to HSSE Manager, and implement any programs or processes necessary to prevent re-occurrence. - Serve as HSE Head and provide information to management about HSE related performance, issues and status of the HSE management system in regards to effectiveness and compliance - Support HSSE Manager in Achieving HSSE objectives. - Supervise the team for managing, coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) programs and processes. - As a part of Health, Safety, Security & Environment team, he/she has to interact with site or project managers effectively.
