Job Description

Essential responsibilities and duties The Global Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers for a program or programs with high complexity, including multiple Faurecia plant locations; various start of production dates, across a full spectrum of new products, and requiring leadership of a team of Program Buyers across multiple divisions/regions. The role of the Program Buyer is to anticipate the specific requirements for new programs (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), ensure the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program, select and pilot suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program objectives. The Program Buyer belongs to the core program team. The main missions of the role are: ▪ Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identify and consult suppliers, manages supplier RFQ based on panel given by the Commodity Buyers. Negotiate or participate with the Commodity Buyers in supplier negotiations and in the final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers from list provided by Commodity Buyers) ▪ Track performance during the program phase: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the program phase reviews are supported within the framework of the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS) ▪ Ensure early involvement of the Series Buyers in the program before the series phase ▪ Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers ▪ Negotiate Engineering Change Requests ▪ Lead the global steering and sourcing committee meetings for the program and ensure that the purchasing assumptions are optimized on a global basis, considering local and global sourcing options and selecting the option with the best landed cost and performance ▪ Be the functional leader of a team of regional Program Buyers either locally because the programs are too large for one Program Buyer or globally as the leader of a team of Program Buyers in multiple Regions/Divisions

Requirements

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business. Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification Experience: ▪ Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience including a program buyer or program manager experience in an industrial environment ▪ Experience working in an international environment Nice to have: Previous International Assignment Skills and competencies: ▪ Understanding of product design, development and production launch processes ▪ Knowledge of supplier cost structures ▪ Understanding of purchasing commodity strategy ▪ Fluent English ▪ Strong written and oral presentation skills ▪ Good planning, organization and project management skills ▪ International mindset ▪ Ability to work in a matrix organization ▪ Global leadership of a functional team Nice to have: - Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive - Another language depending on the region - Strong analytical capabilities - Results oriented
