Job Description

-Responsible for shift personnel job performance, safety and quality of work -Assist, instruct, train or advice personnel as necessary -Handle Union grievances and discipline of employees -Understand and abide by all plant safety rules, HSEE regulations and Environmental issues -Handle any accidents, notify duty person and write report before leaving the plant -Update the Plant Manager and Process Manager on a daily basis about production status and ongoing activity -Suggest changes in routines, personnel, equipment improvement and process improvement -Organize all shift work and should at all times be informed of the status of production equipment -Organize all work on shift, follow-up to insure all work is done efficiently. This includes all types of overtime work including Maintenance and Labor -Must complete all assigned work in compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements

Requirements

-Minimum of a high school diploma. College degree or Technical School equivalent preferred -Ability to make timely, critical decisions often under stress -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -Problem solving and analytical skills -Experience with rotating kilns and ball mills -Demonstrated commitment and ability to work in a Total Quality environment -Background in cement or heavy industry -Computer skills and competency in SAP, Windows, Excel, and Word required -Gender Preference: Male -Ideal Age Range: 30 - 45
