Job Description

Tasks & Responsibilities: The candidate will work on: - Managing relationships with portfolio companies and participating in the company Board of Directors, shaping the strategic priorities and operations of the portfolio companies - Providing first class strategic, operational and financial restructuring solutions that deliver sustainable, bottom line results for our portfolio companies - Preparing various management reports on valuation and performance of portfolio companies on a regular basis - Sourcing and evaluating middle market companies in the financial services, technology and energy space. This role will incorporate all aspects of the deal cycle, with significant focus on financial modelling, preparing presentations and market research - Deal structuring and negotiation of investment terms and presenting investment proposals to senior management and the investment committee - Developing junior resources by offering mentorship and training - Building strong relationships with various parties including investors, SEO, fund administrators, investment banks and advisors

Requirements

Education: - Degree in MBA, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CPA a plus) Experience: - Previous 5+ years of experience at a top tier investment bank, consulting or private equity firm with significant experience with operational and/or financial restructuring is required - Have experience in the financial services, Technology and Energy sectors (not compulsory) - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment that requires execution of recurring deliverables as well as projects and initiatives in support of a rapidly growing business Knowledge & Skills: - Strong business analysis, financial analysis, modeling and valuation skills - Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to confidently handle a wide range of daily interactions - Advanced written and spoken communication skills; is able to prepare well laid out, easily comprehendible analysis and presentations to a variety of audiences - Advanced level competency in core MS-Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) Behavioral qualities: - Demonstrates sense-of-urgency attitude with a flexible and adaptive working style. Can operate effectively across fast paced environments - Ability to work independently and under a relatively low level of direct supervision - Team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects - Ability to multi-task with a fine-tuned attention to detail - Proactive - Passion for investing
