Job Description

Objective of the role: Plan, coordinate and supervise operational solutions for distribution and transportation optimization, network modeling, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing and shipment optimization. List of responsibilities: - Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements. - Solve transport issues, logistics systems, import and export, etc. - Collaboration with other units in order to integrate logistics with business systems such as sales, orders, accounting, etc. - Providing and maintaining reports, indicators, process documentation, etc. - Negotiating with suppliers to improve supply chain. - Control and supervise distribution operations to ensure cost reduction, efficiency, accuracy, etc. - Negotiating shipping rates - Analyze financial impact of changes in logistic goals such as routing, transportation mode, products amount, etc. - Offer the most efficient transportation mode and routing. - Develop risk management plans to ensure supply in emergencies. - Planning and implementation of improved internal and external logistics systems and procedures
