Job Description
-Design equipment to extract oil and gas from onshore and offshore reserves deep underground -Develop plans to drill in oil and gas fields, and then to recover the oil and gas -Develop ways to inject water, chemicals, gases, or steam into an oil reserve to force out more oil or gas -Make sure that oilfield equipment is installed, operated, and maintained properly -Evaluate the production of wells through surveys, testing, and analysis -Developing and refining methods of extracting more petroleum from existing wells. -Design downhole ESPs, surface equipment, and well completion.(preferred qualification) -Determine the equipment sizing that is suitable for well conditions and operational requirements. -Determine the adequate ESP and completion metallurgies that are fit for the wellbore environment. -Deploy best-in-class ESP design and operational practices to prolong ESP run life. -Provide field and technical support to ESP troubleshooting activities. -Regularly evaluate ESP performance and recommend improvements as necessary. -Audit and witness ESP assembly, installation, and field operations to ensure compliance and identify any deficiencies. -Lead or participate in technical investigations related to ESP operations and failures. -Work closely with the field teams and organizations to plan, maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor ESP activities to ensure optimum well productivity and uptime. -Evaluate, design, deploy, and assess new artificial lift technologies.( preferred qualification) -Review tender documents and preparing tender required documents including technical proposal and commercial offer -Participate in meetings and discuss with clients and solving technical problems- -Project supervision -Reporting to superior on daily, weekly & monthly manner -Reporting to: Technical Manager -Subordinates: Technical Director -Working Hours: Saturday - Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m. *Desired start date: in one week -Probation: 3 months *Travel requirements: Yes -Gross monthly base salary: Negotiable
Requirements
-Preferable Petroleum engineering degree -Working experience as field production engineer (5 years minimum) with knowledge of: •Field production system •Fluid properties •Gathering production system data and monitoring the well and field performances •Well problems identification such as scale (organic and inorganic), corrosion, erosion, solids, sand, high viscosity, gas problems -Knowledge of wellhead and well completion equipment (sizes, ratings, material specification) -Knowledge of well production optimization through well problem analysis. Familiar with production technology software’s (such as: Prosper, Perform, Pipesim) is a plus. -General knowledge about: •Well testing and data analyzing •Workover operations •Well services operations •Well stimulations operating practices -Basic knowledge about artificial lift methods and especially ESPs downhole and surface equipment -Overall understanding of oil and gas industry and commitment to safe work implementing high HSE standards -Offshore working experience is a plus -Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English
